The theme this term is ‘Fire! Fire!’ and the children started by sharing their ideas about London. We all took part in the Fire of London workshop and found out so many interesting facts. We acted out different roles, took part in a fire dance and met different characters from 1666. The children showed great enthusiasm and were keen to take part in the different activities. The children have compared London today with London in the past and have used different sources to find out information.

 

The children have also been exploring different materials in Science. They worked in pairs to create a material collage and had to find and name the different materials. The children have explored how the materials are used and discussed the properties of the materials.

They enjoyed being detectives when they went on a materials walk around school.
