Trip to Sudeley Castle

Class Two had a brilliant day at Sudeley Castle on Tuesday! We really enjoyed seeing lots of the things we have been learning about, such as arrow slits and battlements, but especially the models of Henry VIII and his six wives. We were lucky to meet Catherine Parr (Henry’s 6th wife) who lived at Sudeley Castle and who is buried there too – her tomb is in the Chapel in the castle grounds. The children also particularly enjoyed exploring the maze and the very large castle adventure playground! Thank you to our adult helpers, too, for giving up their time and who (hopefully!) enjoyed the day as much as we did!
